Appleby Bermuda is advising Wilton Re on its partnership with Sun Life Financial to form the Windsor Life reinsurance structure.
A spokesperson said, “Appleby Bermuda is advising Wilton Re, a provider of in-force and reinsurance solutions, in its strategic reinsurance and asset management partnership with Sun Life Financial Inc., an international financial services organization in relation to the formation of Windsor Life structure consisting of a U.S. and Bermuda-domiciled reinsurer expected to deploy approximately USD$900 million of capital.
“Appleby is advising on all Bermuda regulatory and corporate matters including the restructuring of the Class E insurer.
“The Appleby team is led by Brad Adderley, Bermuda Managing Partner, and supported by Partner Cathryn Minors and Counsels James Batten and Hailee Forde.”
